Anna Redgate, Founder & President

You Impact, LLC. was born out of the time and volunteer efforts of Anna Redgate. Ms. Redgate is a community activist who has spent more than a decade volunteering in communities throughout the state of Florida. She is a speaker on Victim Impact Panels, she attends and speaks at city council meetings on underage drinking policies and enforcement; she gives talks to high school juniors and seniors all around the state of Florida, and she has worked at the Florida state capital of Tallahassee on safety issues for roads and highways.

Knowing that most impaired driving crashes involve repeat offenders, she was an active participant in the creation of Grace’s Law being enacted in 2008. The law requires that ignition interlock devices – devices that serve as a breathalyzer and prevent an impaired driver from starting a car’s engine – be a mandatory part of sentencing for all first-time DUI offenders who register a BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) of 2.0 or higher.

Ms. Redgate’s daughter, Grace, was killed by a repeat DUI offender when the family was out for a stroll on New Year’s Day, 2000. Only nine months old at the time of her death, Grace is the inspiration behind Ms. Redgate’s heroic efforts to make America’s roads and highways safer. She has held rallies on wrongful death situations in Palm Beach County and traveled to her state capital to see that safety measures on the bridge where her daughter’s and other’s lives were taken were put into effect.

Ms. Redgate is also an advocate for the Five Points of Life program to supply communities with blood, blood platelets, bone marrow, umbilical cord blood, and organ and tissue donations.

In addition to her role as a public speaker, activist, and advocate for social responsibility, she has served over the last decade as a consultant to communities, impact panels, special interest groups, and educators on the related topics of alcohol’s effects on communities, forgiveness, and the role of social responsibility within communities. Anna’s business, YouImpact, exists to create social change by seeking to change the hearts of offenders and help them to realize their parts in community well-being. She continues to remain a consultant and speaker/advocate for social responsibility. This is her passion and commitment to her own community at large. In keeping with her love for building strong individuals who comprise healthy communities, Anna is also a certified integrative life coach.
